My e.l.f. lipstick collection :]]

I really love lipstick...alot ;) And I have a few lipsticks...just a few
I have Revlon, 17, NYX, Barry M, Natural Collection and finally e.l.f.
I own 11 of the elf basic line lipsticks, which I believe is almost all of the ones they have at the moment!
I bought them all myself when they had a deal on! (I bought £15 worth and got a free beauty clutch! DEAL!)
They are surprisingly good for just £1.50 and I love them all!
I decided that rather than just show you the colour swatches on my arm, I would show you what they look like on my lips. Half an hour and a quite sore pair of lips later....here they are!!
[Just to say: the colours may not be 100% accurate as my phone might have altered the colours ever so slightly. But you get the idea! Also, be warned, these are close up pictures of my face...><]

Fantasy: A lovely colour for Autumn, browny-nude. Shiny and slides on easily!

Charming: Lovely classic pink. Almost 'my lips but better' I guess ;)

Captivating: A bright orange. Not for the faint hearted!! It is lovely though, and can be worn lightly smudged with lipbalm. Great for summer!

Nostalgic: Nude. This is the only one of the bunch that I probably wouldn't wear alone. I have dry lips and this lipstick definately highlights that fact! Can work when mixed with 'Charming'.

Seductive: A beautiful pink that almost has the tiniest hint of peach to it. Lovely colour, very smooth to apply.

Flirtatious: Barbie pink. Still very wearable though because you can wear it lightly as well as full on! Not coming up here as bright as it is!

Gypsy: Blue toned bright pink/purple. Colour really reminds me of 'Jilted' by Urban Decay. Love this lipstick.

Sociable: Bright (slightly)blue toned pink. Only one of the bunch that has glitter in, feels a little rough to apply, not as creamy as the others. Still really nice to wear though. (Sorry that the glitter doesn't show up...if I had used flash my skin would've looked more awful :/)

Posh: Beautiful brick red. Really nice, easy red to wear. If you're not super brave, but want to try a red, this could work for you!

Voodoo: Slightly darker than 'Post', also a very wearable red. Not orange toned.

Fearless: The name says it all. This an amazing bright red. It is surprisinging wearable, out of all the other bright reds I own it isn't too scary!

Here is the wet-wipe I used in between each picture....my lips actually feel quite exfoliated! Maybe I should do this more often ;)

Would you like to see the rest of my lipstick collection? Have you tried the e.l.f. lipsticks and if so what were your thoughts?

Above knuckle rings

[ via ]

A couple of months ago I started seeing above knuckle rings popping up on blogs and Youtube videos! I instantly fell in love! I liked the simplicity of them and that they were abit different from normal rings. I then began searching for the perfect ring. I wanted a good quality one that wouldn't turn my finger green and ideally I wanted it to be silver. There were very few around when I started looking, and I did try wearing a topshop toe ring (it was a gold and turquoise swirly ring) above the knuckle of my right ring finger and it was cute for abit but then it broke. :( Then I saw this blog post, and loved the ring ALOT! Even though Laura listed a cheaper alternative, I still wasn't quite ready to pay £20 for a ring. So i began my search again! I typed 'silver knot ring' into etsy and this seller came up.

I sent him a message asking if it was possible to have it in a size 4.5 and he replied very quickly saying yes. So I ordered it, then and there! It cost about £7.30 and took just over a week to arrive from America. I was absolutely delighted! It fit perfectly and was great quality.

I also came packaged in this cute box! ^.^

Look how cute it is!?! :-D
It fits my index or middle finger perfectly and doesn't turn my finger green!!!

After owning this ring (and loving it) for about two weeks I put it in my pocket when at a friend's house and it must have fallen out...so I lost it. I was SO gutted! I tried to look for it, and put off repurchasing for about a month.
Then I started looking at above knuckle rings again and found the ones at Wired Jewellery and really liked the wishbone ring. It would have come to about £11.95 and so I decided to hold off on getting it for abit and just repurchase my beloved knot ring. I sent a message to the seller when buying to explain why I was buying the same ring again and he sent back a kind reply saying he would make it quickly and send it the next day.
I received the little parcel 8 days later and opened to to find this little note.

I didn't fully understand what he meant until I opened the box to find that he had sent two rings!! I was over the moon! I obviously had only paid for one, and received two! Because of this I decided I had to share these rings with you on my blog. You don't come across kindness like this every day and it really touched me :]]
(and obviously they are also really great rings!!)

Final close up ;)

I have a few ideas for blog posts, so will try and make sure it isn't so long til the next one!!

Foundation for Pale Skin SWATCHES

Hello lovelies :]]

A while ago I did a blog post on different foundations that I've tried.
I didn't do any swatches, but decided this morning that before I throw some of the darker colours away I should do some quickly!

Here are the foundations that I own at the moment:
 From left to right:
Maybelline Dreamy Creamy - Light Porcelain (4)
Natural Collection Colour  - Porcelain
Maybelline Pure Liquid Mineral - Porcelain (008)
Maybelline Pure Liquid Mineral - Ivory (010)
Max Factor Lasting Performance - Natural Beige (106) (tester, so did not chose colour)
Bourgjois Healthy Mix - Vanille Clair - (51)
Gosh X-Ceptional Wear - Porcelain (11)
Revlon Colorstay - Ivory 110

Here are the swatches on my arm in the same order as above:

 [With flash]

 [Without flash]

 [Close ups]

Ok, so you can see from the swatches that some brands
*cough* yes, maybelline I do mean you *cough*
don't know what Ivory or Porcelain are!
hehe
I went for about half a year at least LOVING Bourjois,
but I just tried it today and it made me look orange! How is that even possible!?!?! :P

And then I loved Revlon Colorstay for ages, and it is the PERFECT colour...BUT it doesn't last on my skin. :( It melted by my nose (where my face is oiliest) :(( It is super sad cos I did love it.

Then I got Gosh X-Ceptional on a whim, and even though it isn't quite pale enough;
it doesn't matter. It lasts and looks nice and natural :D

Do any of you struggle to find the perfect shade of foundation?
Do any of you lovely pale girls have a (cheap) foundation I should try?

So far I have made Giselle, Ariel, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White!
I am making some as gifts, but as I had to buy the charms in bulk, thought I woulds sell a few.
