Hello lovelies :]]
A while ago I did a blog post on different foundations that I've tried.
I didn't do any swatches, but decided this morning that before I throw some of the darker colours away I should do some quickly!
Here are the foundations that I own at the moment:
From left to right:
Maybelline Dreamy Creamy - Light Porcelain (4)
Natural Collection Colour - Porcelain
Maybelline Pure Liquid Mineral - Porcelain (008)
Maybelline Pure Liquid Mineral - Ivory (010)
Max Factor Lasting Performance - Natural Beige (106) (tester, so did not chose colour)
Bourgjois Healthy Mix - Vanille Clair - (51)
Gosh X-Ceptional Wear - Porcelain (11)
Revlon Colorstay - Ivory 110
Here are the swatches on my arm in the same order as above:
[With flash]
[Without flash]
[Close ups]
Ok, so you can see from the swatches that some brands
*cough* yes, maybelline I do mean you *cough*
hehe
I went for about half a year at least LOVING Bourjois,
but I just tried it today and it made me look orange! How is that even possible!?!?! :P
And then I loved Revlon Colorstay for ages, and it is the PERFECT colour...BUT it doesn't last on my skin. :( It melted by my nose (where my face is oiliest) :(( It is super sad cos I did love it.
Then I got Gosh X-Ceptional on a whim, and even though it isn't quite pale enough;
it doesn't matter. It lasts and looks nice and natural :D
Do any of you struggle to find the perfect shade of foundation?
Do any of you lovely pale girls have a (cheap) foundation I should try?

I don't have pale skin, (I have pale brown skin), but I face the same problems! Finding the right foundation is so difficult, the colours are either too light or too dark, and it looks so uneven! I've learnt a few useful tips from this post - thanks! I recently stumbled across your blog and I LOVE it! I love the layout to the content and everything in between! Your blog is simply the epitome of perfection! I am your newest, most avid follower, I look forward to reading your future posts. I would love it if you could perhaps follow me back too? Have a lovely day!
ReplyDeleteLove from, MISSIFFA
