Foundation for Pale Skin

I thought I would share today about the makeup product that I have found the hardest to get right!
I'm pale so I really struggle to find a foundation that is light enough.
My skin type is as follows: Very pale, abit oily, pink undertones, red cheeks (mild Rosacea maybe).
The red cheeks are actually the only reason I wear foundation. I like my skin other than that! :)
The different brands I have tried are: Natural Collection, Miss Sporty, Maybelline, Bourjois, Rimmel, L'Oreal...and finally REVLON! (I always buy the palest shade of each brand.)
Let me explain the issues I found with each one:-
Natural Collection: Too orange and just generally not amazing quality, you pay for what you get.

Miss Sporty Light Energy: Quite a nice foundation, but still too dark

Maybelline Pure Mineral: Too Orange, good coverage though

Bourjois Healthy Mix: Very happy with this, but ever so slightly too oily perhaps.

L'Oreal True Match : Too runny, and abit too yellowy for me. Good foundation, just not for me.

Rimmel Lasting Finish: Too orange, they clearly don't understand that 'Ivory' means off-white! ><

Revlon Colorstay Combination/Oily Skin: The foundation of my dreams! <3

I can explain sometime why I love this foundation so much, if anyone is interested!
Do any of you struggle to find foundations to match your skintone??

All opinions expressed here are my own, I know from reading many blogs that some of the above foundations are perfect for some people, just not for me.
I hope that my thoughts will help some other pale skinned girls!

  2. I love healthy mix too. At the moment I'm using a mix of Color Stay and Estee Lauder's Double Wear, I've found mizing has made it a lot easier to get the perfect shade xx

  3. I agree completley! I have very pale skin, quite oily and rosy red cheeks, which i also think may be a mild form of Rosacea. I have tried sooo many foundations its ridiculous and then i came across revlon colourstay and i was so happy! They actually know the meaning of ivory and it really does stay all day :) Great blog post, i will be sure to stay away from the others! xx
